Vikings Update: Is Kurt Warner Really Headed North?

Apparently, those rumors about Kurt Warner heading to Minnesota are unfounded. Ken Wisenhunt is swearing that he wouldn’t trade their most seasoned backup, even if he were offered a trade.

 The transaction makes sense for Minnesota, as they would then have a fall back should Travaris Jackson fail to pan out. But Arizona would be left with only Shane Boyd and Toby Korrodi – not exactly two guys I’d want to base my season on should Matt Leinart go down.  

So, who would Minnesota turn to next? One never knows, but the market for proven backups isn’t exactly huge. Most teams that have one are unwilling to part. Although, you would have to think teams with several viable quarterbacks like Tampa – who has Chris Simms, Bruce Gradkowski and Luke McCown all on the bench – or even Philadelphia – with AJ Feeley looking expendable – might be willing to deal should the right offer be made.
